Calcium oxide has high flame retardant properties in plastics

The thermal decomposition temperature of calcium oxide is above 800℃, while the general plastics are flammable, 

and their ignition temperature is around 400℃, so it is impossible to hope that the decomposition of calcium oxide 

will release carbon dioxide during the initial combustion stage. The advantage of the presence of calcium oxide only

 lies in the reduction of the amount of combustible material, and the higher the content of calcium oxide, the less 

combustible material in the same volume, which is of course conducive to flame retardation. However, due to the 

presence of calcium oxide, polymer materials combustion process of rapid expansion and gasification of the formation 

of countless microporous, greatly increasing the surface area of the combustible material in contact with oxygen, so that
